About Pablo
Pablo Borrelli is a highly experienced Agricultural Engineer with 40 years in rangeland management research and advisory. As co-founder of Ovis 21 and Hub Leader for Argentina of the Savory Network, he champions a paradigm that respects and imitates nature, transforming grasslands through holistic planned grazing. Pablo's work integrates agriculture with carbon markets, incentivizing farmers to capture carbon in soil. He promotes cattle management that leads to healthy ecosystems, healthy livestock, and healthy communities. His philosophy connects day-to-day farm practices to monumental systemic change, influencing supply chains and consumer choices towards regenerative outcomes.
In Pablo's own words
“Ruuts is a startup… conectando a productores con el mercado de carbono, generando un incentivo a un cambio en la forma de producir completamente alineado al resultado ecológico de poder capturar carbono en el suelo.”“Ruuts is a startup… connecting producers with the carbon market, creating an incentive to change the way we produce, fully aligned with the ecological outcome of capturing carbon in the soil.” (our translation)
“Se trata de un paradigma diferente que en vez de pelearse con la naturaleza, la respeta y trata de imitarla.”“It is a different paradigm that, instead of fighting nature, respects it and tries to imitate it.” (our translation)
“Además captura mucho más carbono de lo que emite, por lo cuál permite producir carnes con huella de carbono negativa”“Moreover, it captures much more carbon than it emits, which makes it possible to produce meat with a negative carbon footprint.” (our translation)
