About Rob
Rob Avis is an experienced regenerative design expert, mechanical engineer, and thought leader in the permaculture movement. After a career in oil and gas, Rob shifted his focus to developing resilient human habitats. Through Verge Permaculture and Adaptive Habitat, he designs and educates on systems that integrate water harvesting, energy efficiency, and food production, empowering people to become proactive stewards of land and resources. Rob’s work dismantles the myth that sustainability means sacrifice, instead highlighting luxury and abundance in regenerative living. His deep understanding of antifragile property design, systemic water cycles, and community-building have made him a highly requested speaker and educator across North America and globally.
